Start Building a New Muscular Physique In The New Year

With new years coming up, and the tradition of making new years resolutions you might be thinking about getting buff. First of all realize that bodybuilding and fitness in general is a lifestyle, and something that takes time.

Don't expect to hit the gym a few times and see some significant results. You have to be in it for the long haul. If you go to the gym for a mere week don't expect to be ripped like like a MMA fighter. As I am sure you know it doesn't happen that way. However, with the right weight training program and the correct body building diets, you can see a great difference in a couple of months. It is all about how hard you train, and how well you eat. If you are one of those folks who consume fast food twice a day, you'd better get ready to make some drastic changes. In order to get stacked you'll need to start one of the many recommended body building diets. I'm talking about a diet of protein, vitamins and minerals, but hardly any fat, sugar, and salt. Remember, you truly are what you eat. You can see the effects unhealthy diets have done to a large part of society with T.V. Shows like the biggest loser. The good news is that once you take control of your diet and exercise you can accomplish your goals whether it is healthy weight loss, or getting those six pack abs.

First off do some research on body building diets. You will find that diet programs are easy to come by online. I started looking to gain muscle a couple of years back. There is alot of information out there and you will find that body building is indeed a science. Although I'm not looking to acquire a body builder physique by any means, I do prefer some decent muscle mass.

My first thought when it came to body building diets and weight training regimes was to hop online. I knew that the internet would have some good information. Once I got started I realized that the science of body building requires a vast amount of knowledge. Don't let what you don't know stop you. I was overwhelmed with all of the information out there. My advice is to stick with the basics.

The most important thing is that you get started. You don't need to train every day, but you should be lifting some weights and doing cardio at least three times per week.

Split your meals up so you eat 5 times a day; this applies whether you are trying to build muscle or lose fat. Getting those five meals a day can be a chore especially when you are trying to cook healthy meals. That is why a whey protein supplement is essential.

There are lots of choices in whey protein supplements. A visit to your local supplement store is a great way to get started finding a suitable product. I have always found that the staff at these stores are extremely knowledgable. They might try to sell you every kind of supplement under the sun, but when you are starting off you don't need to get anything other that a good protein powder.

As your fitness knowledge increase you can begin to add other supplements, but there is no rush. Serious bodybuilders can bust the bank spending up to $250 a month getting everything they want. Like I said, stick to the basics. Healthy meals 5X daily are all you really need. Protein powders are an all-natural source of high quality protein. You can get 26 grams of protein in a shake with 8 ounces of milk. One gram of protein for every pound of your body weight is recommended for muscle repair, this is you total daily intake from all sources. Take your shakes two or three times a day in addition to your weight training, and you will start seeing some positive results. The combination of healthy food and whey protein is a sure win.
