A Simple Strategy to Help You Drop 10 Pounds in 2 Weeks

Now that the festive season is over many want to know how to lose the extra weight that they have gained. Here is a simple, yet effective strategy that you can use immediately to get you started on the right track to dropping the extra pounds quickly and easily without having to starve yourself or exercise excessively. Here is the recommendation:

Cut out all dairy foods and grain-based products for 2 weeks.

This recommendation isn't a long-term sustainable approach to nutrition of course, but it can make a massive difference to your results. Even though I couldn't find any solid science to back up this recommendation, anecdotally it works really well and in theory it makes sense. Here's why:

You see, our bodies haven't changed much in the last 100,000 years, which means our physiology is designed to consume foods that were eaten by our ancestors many years ago and these were foods made primarily by nature (not food manufacturing companies). Therefore, it simply makes sense to eat more natural foods and less processed foods.

Furthermore, when it comes to considering why you should reduce your intake of grain-based products, agricultural practices came into being around 10,000 years ago in the middle east and perhaps northern Africa as well. It takes the human body much longer than this to adapt to such a dramatic change in dietary habits. Therefore, our bodies aren't that well designed to consume a lot of grain-based products, despite what food manufacturers (and governments) may tell us.

Dairy foods became popular with the advent of animal husbandry about 6,000 years ago so again, it is a food source that isn't that well digested and utilized by the human body. Plus, if you consider that humans are the only species on Earth that consumes milk from another animal and we're the only species that consumes milk products after infancy, it simply doesn't make sense to make it a part of your diet.

If you think that if you miss out on dairy that you've going to get osteoporosis, think again! That belief has been the result of a very clever marketing campaign by the dairy industry over many years. Do some research and find out the truth!

Overall, by cutting out these foods for 2 weeks and then slowly re-introducing them back into your diet if you wish (but in substantially reduced amounts), you will achieve a dramatic weight loss and be able to keep the weight off.

The weight loss occurs simply because these foods cause an inflammatory response in the body when they are consumed, which means that excess water is retained by the body. When you cut them out of your diet, your body gets rid of the excess fluid and extra weight literally falls off your body.

Of course, the weight being lost is mainly fluid, not fat, but you'll be amazed at how well your body functions without these foods (and the extra weight) and to see such a quick and easy weight loss, especially after the festive season, will help keep you motivated to stay on track.
