The human body operates just like a machine. Do you have a favorite car? I bet you do all that is within your means to keep it working efficiently, let alone maintaining its brand new appearance. Poor maintenance and negligence will see your car break down in a pretty short time, within five years or so. That is exactly what happens to your body. And I don't care attitude about your body can have catastrophic effects. You will expect your health to go downhill, or other parts of your body getting stressed to make up for the lag. You don't want to experience that.
As the most gifted beings, we ought to know how to care for our fundamental needs. We can make decisions how we can live our lives and make the needed adjustments. We all wish to enjoy long, happy, and active lives. That is only possible if we alter our lifestyle by adapting habits that will work for our own good. Your body will only be able to work at its best if you take good care of it living a more responsible healthier lifestyle. You will fall short of all you are meant to accomplish if you are reckless with your life. Healthy living simply means proper diet, adequate sleep, and proper exercise.
Just like many say, you become what you eat. You surely don't expect to hog on junk and not be like a pulp. You need calories to give you the energy that you need at old age. You can only be active, and able to do the basic things at old age with proper nutrition. Junk food may be so enticing, but remember there are many things and responsibilities you are yet to accomplish ahead of you. Besides, you will not have to worry about putting extra pounds on your body if you eat well. And yet, healthy dieting can be such an easy thing to do. It can be very challenging fighting the desires to indulge in unhealthy foods. What you need to keep in mind is that many at old age are paying heavily living their negligently.
A clear picture of the bitter things you will experience should propel you to learn how to eat healthy. That is where your mind comes in. Who said it is impossible to learn how to live healthy? Regularly considering what and how you eat, exercise and rest is all you need to do. Remember, you reap what you sow, regardless of time. Binging on junk robs you of the chance to live your life to the fullest. Healthy eating means taking in lots of fruits, vegetables, and lean meat. You also need to keep reinforcing those muscles through exercise. It's only then that you will realize who enjoyable this world can.
