Foods High in Iron Are Essential for the Functioning of the Body

The presence of iron in the body helps in the transporting of oxygen and the growth of cells in the body. The iron is stored in the hemoglobin, the myoglobin and the enzymes present in the body. These form the main parts that make use of the iron present in the body to transport oxygen to all parts of the body. The extent of iron is determined by its intestinal absorption. Foods high in iron must be included in daily diets in some form or the other since it plays a very important role in the transporting of the oxygen to all parts of the body. At the same time high levels of iron could also be harmful and thus the quantity of iron that a body requires should be carefully studied and carried out meticulously.
