Treating Cellulite at Home

The stimulating effect that coffee gives to human is because of its caffeine content. Now considered the most popular drink in the world next to water and tea, coffee sits third. A number of medical studies suggest the unending stories of whether coffee is good or bad for the body. Caffeine has anti-cellulite properties thought to decrease fat and remove built-up fluid in skin cells by increasing the blood flow.

Women get more conscious when they reach the age of 30. Though at age 15, cellulite can start to develop and just gets worse when you get older. It tends to settle on the body areas where regular body fat is found. And for most women, spending a few bucks is out of the question, just to get rid of cellulite. But one cheap alternative and an effective cellulite treatment is available at home, in your kitchen. Coffee is thought to cut down the number of fat cells in the skin, when applied externally. And due to the coffee ground's coarse nature, it also acts as a gentle exfoliant for the skin.

For you to get started, all you just need to do is warm the coffee grounds in the microwave, then mix it with a tablespoon of olive oil. To avoid messing up the kitchen floor, you may want to move to the bathroom and apply the mixture to the affected areas. Using some plastic wrap, wrap it around the spot and remove the wrap after leaving it for about 15 minutes. Then shower it off to remove the excess coffee. You may want to continue doing this once or twice a week and see the difference.
