Discover the Top Foods for Healthy Skin

Did you know that having a healthy balanced diet is a great way to get beautiful healthy skin?

The reason I like this method keeping skin healthy is because not only are you getting good looking skin by eating healthily, but you're also improving your overall health. To get the best out of your diet, you have to be familiar with the best food for healthy skin. These are the foods that you'll need to include in your daily dishes.

The best foods for healthy skin are those that are rich in antioxidants. You don't necessarily have to eat only antioxidant rich foods, but if you include a reasonable portion of such foods in your dishes everyday you'll definitely improve your chances of getting and keeping healthy younger looking skin.

Over the years I have studied and researched the link between food and skin and with the help of from professional dietitians I discovered a myriad of antioxidant rich food. Below I'm going to share some my favorite of "skin food".


Green veggies - One the best group of foods are dark green vegetables. These include spinach, broccoli, kale, lettuce and turnip greens and many more.

Berries - Almost all the berries are really great for skin. In fact berries have some the highest concentrations of antioxidants.

Colorful fruits and vegetables - In fact most brightly colored fruits and vegetables are good for skin. Some my favorite include red cabbage, plum, bananas, oranges, grapes, mango, beet root, red peppers and red tomatoes.

Cold water fish - Most cold water fish are high in omega fatty acids which are essential nutrients for good skin health. I particularly love tuna and salmon but you can also try sardines, trout and shell fish.

You can really get creative with the above foods for healthy skin. I'm not really a great cook but I do try to make interesting and unique dishes that include the above foods. I particularly like fruits and vegetable salads because you can mix many of the above and still get a really tasty and healthy dish in minutes.
