Eliminating Cellulite - A Diet to Help You Do It
There are a number of ways to eliminate cellulite. All you need to do is a Google search for "get rid of cellulite" and you will be bombarded with thousands of magic "pills" or "cures" that will supposedly help you lose your cellulite without any conscious effort at all.
Well, as you already know, most of these are bunk. While many creams can help you diminish the appearance of your cellulite, they are really only a piece of the puzzle, and a small piece at that. If you are serious about eliminating your cellulite, you need to take a look at your diet. This, along with exercise, is the cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle. If you are neglecting your diet and exercise, you can slather cellulite cream on your legs all day long and you are still going to have cottage cheese legs.
Now, you could write a book on dieting. Many people have. So, in this short article, I am going to try and touch on the really important aspects of diet that will help give you success in eliminating your cellulite.
First off, ditch the junk food. You simply can't expect to have healthy toned looking skin if you are slamming Twinkies for breakfast. My advice is to just not buy it. If it's not in your cupboard then you won't be tempted to eat it.
Secondly, drink lots of water. Drinking plenty of water each day flushes out toxins and can help diminish the appearance of cellulite. When you drink enough water, the skin appears hydrated, healthy and supple.
Lastly, supplement you diet with essential fatty acids, or EFAs. EFAs are the building blocks of your cell. Cellulite occurs when your skin cells become old and rigid and can no longer support that fat layer underneath. The longer your skin cells stay strong and flexible, the longer it will be before you develop cellulite. Raw almonds and sunflower seeds are a great way to supplement your diet with healthy EFAs.
